Associate Trainer

Pat has spent over 30 years developing expertise in children and family services across the voluntary, statutory and private sectors enabling others to “be their best selves”.  She is a qualified teacher, social worker, mentor, executive and knowledge transfer coach. During the last ten years she has focused on supporting the remarkable people that lead and manage teams working with vulnerable families.

One of her developing areas of interest is coaching for resilience and well-being within the workplace.

Karen Cairns by Dean Wilson

Karen is an independent consultant with a background in the public sector. She led and managed the OnePlusOne training team who delivered training to 3400 participants across England. Karen has reviewed and contributed to our e-learning modules and designs and delivers bespoke learning programmes.

Karen is a Personal Coach, an NLP Business Practitioner and a consultant.

Maggie Fisher by Dean Wilson

Maggie works as an independent health visiting consultant, trainer and facilitator and works nationally and internationally.

She has worked as a health visitor for over 35 years both within and outside the NHS. Her specialist areas of interest and expertise are infant and child mental health, sleep, relationships and parenting. Maggie has extensive experience in training health visitors, nurses, midwives and practitioners across the health, education and the parenting sector. She is also an associate lecturer at the University of Winchester.

Kate Nicolle by Dean Wilson

Learning and Training Manager

Kate has 20 years of experience working in the parenting sector with both families and frontline practitioners. Her background includes many varied roles within the parenting sector, from working one to one with families supporting them through challenging times to working on large scale projects for the NHS designing and delivering parenting programmes.

Kate is involved with developing and delivering OnePlusOne’s training programmes and taking new learning to frontline practitioners. She also works in the corporate environment sharing our research and training with those who work in the commercial world.

Associate Trainer

Beverley is an independent facilitator working nationally in the health and social care and voluntary sector.

She has worked for many years as a OnePlusOne trainer, delivering Brief Encounters and ‘How to Argue Better’ training and has written materials for our elearning modules and The Couple Connection site. Her experience in training and facilitation was gained as a Health Promotion Specialist at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust. She also designed training in creative thinking and workplace coaching while working for the University of Leeds.

Beverley now specialises in facilitation skills development and has delivered numerous workshops in a wide range of topics.

Jane Joseph by Mark Weber

Associate Trainer

Jane has been working in the development field for over 25 years.  During that time she has been involved in management, leadership, equality, team working and one to one coaching, focusing her attention on soft skills and personal effectiveness type development.

Jane has a proven track record of working with clients in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Her roles includes being an in-house trainer/facilitator and learning consultant for HMRC and an external trainer delivering management events for the DWP.

Christiane Johnson by Mark Weber

Associate Trainer

Christiane has, until recently, worked in Public Health/ Health Improvement for the NHS and local authority. In that time she has designed and delivered numerous courses which aim to support frontline staff to improve the conversations they have with people.

With over 30 years’ experience in training and facilitation, Christiane has a wealth of experience to offer. She has worked as an occasional tutor at OnePlusOne for the last 10 years
